Accommodations
You will live in student-style apartments located in the historic area of Clerkenwell. Each apartment suite has four single rooms with twin bed, linens, wardrobe, desk and chair, and shelving. There are two bathrooms in each suite with showers, a living room, breakfast bar with chairs, and fully-equipped kitchen facilities. Coin-operated laundry and 24/7 reception security staff are on-site.
The residence is within five minutes’ walk of the Farringdon Underground station, ten minutes to the Barbican station, and easy access to regular buses on Clerkenwell road. Home to a very active nightlife and restaurants, Clerkenwell is also within walking distance of the financial district, Bloomsbury, and Covent Garden.
UC Davis reserves the right to change the accommodation location. Should this be necessary, we will arrange alternative lodging. Please note that elevators, air conditioners and other modern conveniences may not be available in all locations.
Meals
Meals are not included in the program cost and are the responsibility of the participant. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen for preparing meals. There are grocery stores and cafes within walking distance to accommodations.
Excursions & Activities
Global Experiences provides social events and excursions designed to expose you to the local culture while helping you network with employers and others interning and working in their host city. A sampling of past events in London have included:

Participation in this UC Davis Study Abroad program requires travel to and extended living in a foreign location(s) abroad. UC Davis Study Abroad endeavors to reduce and mitigate risk wherever possible. However, the environments and risks associated with living in these locations are substantially different than those found during a regular course of study at UC Davis. All participants must download and review the following information prior to departure. Any questions should be directed to the Program Coordinator.
