Global Learning Hub Programs

The Global Learning Hub offers a variety of programming that is accessible to graduate and professional students on campus, abroad and virtually.

Global Impact Fellows

The Global Impact Fellows Program is a one-year commitment to leading or assisting a student-led initiative that addresses a global+local issue where students can hone project management, leadership, and specific technical skills in an environment where they have real autonomy.

Graduate and Postdoc Certificate Series

This series encourages graduate students and postdocs to consider how their research and career aspirations position them to respond to global challenges. Participants will be provided insights from mid- and late-career professionals on how to improve networking and leadership skills for success in intercultural work environments, whether in the public, private, or academic sectors.

UC Davis Widening Circles Program

Explore new pathways for learning, sharing, connecting, and acting with purpose and humility in the face of global inequality and injustice. This program includes an online curriculum, guidance from experienced mentors, peer-to-peer learning, personal reflection, and multimedia storytelling. Interested graduate students can participate via the Global Grad Grants social impact track. 

U21 Global Citizens Program

The U21 Global Citizens Program is an online leadership development program delivered by Common Purpose, a global nonprofit organization that specializes in cross-boundary leadership. Participants will develop ideas together, across borders and time zones, honing skills needed to thrive in the 21st century while tackling some of the world’s most pressing problems outlined in United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships

The Universitas 21 (U21) Sustainable Micro-Internships Program provides you the opportunity to work with students from across the globe, sharing knowledge and expertise while immersing yourself in the work of a commercial organization. Each two-week micro-internship has a distinct UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) focus. In groups, you will be tasked with providing a solution to a real-life SDG-related challenge, which you will then pitch to senior stakeholders within the organization at the end of the program.

Global Learning Hub Funding

The Global Learning Hub offers a variety of funding opportunities for Grad and Professional students to support global learning that include awards, fellowships, grants, scholarships, and funds to off-set or fully cover program costs.

Global Aggies Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights

The Global Aggies Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights encourages and supports UC Davis student global learning and engagement regarding the issues that LGBTQIA+ communities and individuals face around the world. This award provides students with funding to learn about and advance LGBTQIA+ wellbeing and rights globally, including through international, USA-based, or virtual activity.

Global Grad Grants

The Global Grad Grants provide funding opportunities for UC Davis graduate or professional students seeking to participate in a globally-focused social impact program or in a globally-focused research opportunity or program during the summer. 

Peter and Marion London Global Learning Innovation Award

The Peter and Marion London Global Learning Innovation Award supports an annual project led by one or more UC Davis students who will partner and engage with Nepali and/or Tibetan students on a project with a strong public benefit related to sustainable development for disadvantaged communities.

Global Career Development Series

The UC Davis Global Career Development Series is an ongoing event series hosted by the Global Learning Hub with the purpose of providing all students with additional global professional development resources and opportunities. This series will feature workshops, info sessions, panels, and webinars with a particular focus on global career development. Events are open to all.
