Global Learning Hub Peer Ambassador

As a Peer Ambassador in the Global Learning Hub at UC Davis, you will help generate interest and enthusiasm about global learning opportunities at UC Davis, including study abroad, internships, research, and much more.  You will also serve as a resource to the office of  Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS) by assisting at events, programs, and orientations designed to support undergraduate, international students at UC Davis. The Global Engagement Opportunity-Living Learning Community (GEO-LLC) is an example of one of the programs that the peer ambassador will support that is a campus housing community for international, transnational and domestic students.

Global Learning Hub Student Assistants

As a Student Assistant in the Global Learning Hub at UC Davis, you will help generate interest and enthusiasm about global opportunities at UC Davis, including study abroad, internships, research, and much more. You will be a vital part of many aspects of the student enrollment and pre-departure process. This is an opportunity to further develop your leadership, office, public speaking, communication, customer service, organizational and advising skills in a supportive and professional environment.

At the Global Learning Hub, our Student Assistants are organized into specialized teams to best support our diverse services. These teams include:

  • Front Desk Team: The first point of contact, offering assistance and guidance to visitors.
  • Outreach Team: Focused on promoting and facilitating engagement with global learning opportunities.
  • UCEAP Team: Dedicated to providing support for students participating in the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).
  • Faculty Services/Operations Team: Responsible for managing faculty-related services and ensuring smooth operational workflows.

Each team works to enhance the global learning experience for students and faculty alike.

Student assistants and interns in Global Affairs support our mission to inspire global curiosity, understanding, and engagement.
