Program Overview
Spend your summer interning in Barcelona—one of the world's most electric, innovative cities—as an engineering or computer science student ready to level up your resume and your life experience. We match you with a placement tailored to your background, career goals, interests, and skills, at local companies and start-ups. Fields span software engineering, IT, biotech, mechanical engineering, robotics, food tech, business of engineering, and beyond—so there's a fit for nearly every path.
Beyond the office, you'll have an opportunity to dive into an intensive Spanish course, wander Gaudí's surreal architecture and the winding streets of the Gothic Quarter, catch the sunset on Barceloneta beach, and build a global network of engineering and Computer Science professionals and fellow interns who could become lifelong connections. It's real career experience, wrapped in one of Europe's most unforgettable cities.
Limited placements will be available in the following engineering fields: civil, environmental, biomedical, chemical, electrical and aerospace. There are no limitations for other engineering and computer science fields. Check with the program coordinator regarding capacity prior to enrolling.
The global pandemic has changed the way some career fields approach daily work. Students may encounter a hybrid workplace where they will adopt schedules similar to their coworkers, such as some days in the office, some days working remotely, and experiences both in person and online.
