Program Overview
Spend six weeks as an education intern in San Jose, the dynamic capital of Costa Rica. Students will serve as teachers’ assistants alongside a permanent English teacher, or, in some cases, other teachers as needed. Students will actively participate in teaching, mentoring, homework assistance, classroom and lesson prep, and, in some cases, after-school activities. Internship placements are customized according to each student’s experiences, career goals, interests, and skills. Outside of the classroom you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Costa Rica’s “Pura Vida” lifestyle, culture, and stunning natural beauty through planned excursions and optional visits. Previous excursions have included a daytrip to a private wildlife preserve, a hike to the crater of Volcan Irazu, and an overnight trip to Arenal Volcan and La Fortuna Waterfall.
