  • Chinese (CHN) 009. Introduction to Chinese Language & Culture (4 units)
  • Chinese culture through the lens of Chinese language. Relationship of language to religion, food, arts, ethnic groups, dialects, writing systems, etc. All readings are in English; no previous background is necessary. Grade Mode: Letter. General Education: Arts & Humanities (AH); World Cultures (WC).
  • Chinese (CHN) 098 Directed Group Study (2 units, Pass/No Pass grading only)
  • Course Description: Directed group study. Learning Activities: Variable. Grade Mode: Pass/No Pass only.
