Program Overview

Discover China beyond the classroom through this immersive Spring Quarter program that combines 10 weeks of on-campus learning with a two-week academic journey through Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Designed for students with no prior Chinese language experience, the program explores Chinese history, culture, language, and contemporary society through a blend of classroom learning and experiential education. Engage with local communities, universities, and cultural sites while experiencing the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Southern China. Travel from Guangzhou, the economic and cultural heart of the region, to Shenzhen, one of the world's leading centers of technology and innovation. Along the way, you'll experience China's dynamic blend of tradition and progress, gaining firsthand insight into the country's rapidly evolving society while developing intercultural skills and a deeper global perspective.
