Heather Milton is a Continuing Lecturer in the UC Davis Writing Program. She teaches writing classes such as Writing in the Health Professions, Legal Writing, and Business Writing.
A Message for Students and Parents
I am a huge believer in study abroad and have taught Summer Abroad in Australia. Travel is the best way to broaden one’s horizons and learn about the world—and one’s own country. I love to travel and have had wonderful experiences in New Zealand and Barcelona. I am also a huge believer in the ability of writing to deepen one’s engagement with the experience. As someone who regularly teaches Business Writing, I also strongly encourage students to do internships. They are an excellent way to gain exposure to a field, get job experience, and develop connections for the future. Internships also strongly increase students’ chances of getting a full-time job."
