UC Davis Study Abroad and UCEAP integrate global opportunities into the academic experience, supporting 1,300 students each year in studying across 30 countries.  Many of these opportunities emphasize responsible community service and focus on meeting the needs of the locals.

Conduct a psychology internship in Ireland with a service-learning component comprised of an online course facilitated by a UC Davis instructor to provide meaningful reflection during the course of the program.

Pursue international, intercultural, community-engaged learning and action research in collaboration with Nepali students and young professionals. Work in interdisciplinary groups to build skills, knowledge, and relationships to pursue future international and intercultural collaborations.

Acquire practical skills as a bilingual health professional through 6 weeks of courses in semi-urban Santiago, a week-long clinical rotation in a rural area, and another rotation in urban Santo Domingo.

Shadow medical service providers and meet individuals providing NGO services. Take a prep course on Thai and Burmese language and culture. Classroom study is paired with hands-on fieldwork and lab opportunities.
