Summer Abroad Taiwan - Travel

The "Taiwan Through Literature and Film" program includes pre-departure and on-site orientations to prepare students for their study abroad experience, while participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements; U.S. citizens need a valid passport but no visa, whereas non-U.S. citizens must check visa requirements through their consulate, and all participants are enrolled in GeoBlue Global Health Insurance for the program's duration.

The "Taiwan Through Literature and Film" program provides accommodations in double occupancy hotel rooms with included meals, such as welcome and farewell banquets, and features excursions to cultural sites like the National Palace Museum and Indigenous Culture Museum, while emphasizing the need for participants to familiarize themselves with local culture, climate, and safety advisories before their experience.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Michelle Yeh received her PhD in comparative literature from the University of Southern California and is Distinguished Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at UC Davis.
