Fast-Track Enrollment also available. Beginning Friday, November 30th Study Abroad will accept Quarter Abroad Spring 2019 enrollments without a health clearance and/or passport copy. Just upload a Fast-Track Enrollment Request Form to the heath clearance and/or passport section in your enrollment to receive an extension on these forms! Preference will be given to students with complete enrollments through Friday, December 7th at 5:00pm. Starting on Friday, December 7th at 5:01pm through the December 14th extended deadline no preference will be given to complete enrollments over Fast-Track Enrollments.

Program Overview

Spend spring quarter in the heart of London! Intern in a field of your choice and take two upper-division English courses: “Dark London,” taught by a UC Davis Professor, explores magical, mysterious, and macabre representations of London, starting with J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter. Then Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Mary Prince, and others address Crime, Death, Fog, Slavery, Dark Drinks (Coffee, Tea, Chocolate), and more. A second course focuses on contemporary “British Life and Culture.” Fulfill your requirements for GE Writing Experience, Arts and Humanities, and World Cultures, as well as for the English major and minor. Take classes in fashionable Kensington and participate in a professional internship for 20 hours a week. Excursions in and outside of London are also an integral part of the program.

Students will participate in a professional internship for 20 hours per week. All students are guaranteed an internship in their field of study or a related field. Internship details, placement information, and sample internships.
