My pathway to international education began with the four consecutive summers I spent interning in South Africa, in homes for HIV+ and abandoned children. Being immersed in that beautiful and challenging setting grew in me a passion for social justice and cross-cultural friendships. I see the work I do now as a continuation of that original passion, by helping facilitate college students to enhance their education through international experience. My hope is that through purposeful immersion, that our student travelers would also develop a deep sense of curiosity, appreciation, and personal responsibility for the wider global community.
I completed my B.A. in Intercultural Studies and my M.S. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education. I’ve studied four foreign languages, I have traveled to more than 20 countries, and I plan to continue learning and adventuring long into the future. I’m a native Californian, but have lived for long stretches in Wisconsin where I became a die-hard Packer fan.
