My name is Christal Juarez and coming this Fall Quarter I will be a third-year student majoring in Anthropology and International Relations.
Growing up in a household that didn't have the sufficient finances to do much traveling, my vacations largely consisted of going to Mexico every couple of years to visit relatives. My parents have always been great supporters and have encouraged me to look for opportunities that would provide me with resources that would allow me to visit the world—which took me to Geneva, Switzerland to study abroad!
Before Study Abroad, I had never been outside of North America. Now I have the experience of getting to visit Geneva, London, and Barcelona right under my belt. I fell so in love with studying abroad that I am planning to do so again Fall going into my last year at Davis by applying for Argentina and Chile!
This is also my second year working at the Study Abroad Office and have loved every second of it so far. I am so unbelievably happy to be standing where I am today, and I hope to be helping many of you down a path abroad as well. Hope to see you at the Study Abroad Center soon!
