UC Davis Study Abroad is hosting the Winter Study Abroad and Internship Fair!

The Winter 2017 UC Davis Study Abroad & Internship Fair is your opportunity to:
  1. Speak with UC Davis Summer, Summer Internship, Seminars and Quarter Abroad instructors and returnees
  2. Learn about unique study abroad programs and international internship opportunities.
  3. Attain information on UCEAP programs.
  4. Learn about available scholarships and financial aid. 
  5. Receive on-the-spot advising on how to complete their enrollment.
  6. EAT FREE HOT ITALIAN PIZZA
Workshops - Second Floor Conference Room, 2119 International Center

11 a.m.– 12 p.m. Financial Aid for Study Abroad Learn how your current financial aid award can be adjusted to account for the added expenses of study abroad. Learn how to budget appropriately for study abroad. Explore destinations that may be more affordable on your budget.  Led by Financial Aid Advisor, Soua Lo.

12 – 1p.m.  Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program Information Session -- Join Scott Palmer  to learn more about this scholarship.  The Gilman Program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study and intern abroad and the countries and regions where they go.  Students must be a Pell Grant Recipient to apply & award winners will receive up to $5,000!

1 – 2p.m. Study Abroad Short Film Showcase -- Come see UC Davis share their study abroad stories in short films!

1 – 2 p.m. STA Travel -- Come learn about the STA airfare deposit program and the services they provide.

2 – 3 p.m. Grants for International Development Work in the US and abroad- BLUM Center for Developing Economies.  Presenter: Lili Larson

If you are a UCD undergrad or grad student and would like to volunteer with an NGO on a project to alleviate poverty in the US or in a developing country, this is a workshop is for you! Students will learn about two campus grants programs that provide up to $2,000 (for undergrads) and up to $4,000 (for grad students) to implement field research or work with a NGO. The presentation will explain the application process and provide relevant tips on how to develop a strong proposal.

Target audience: undergraduate and graduate students interested in international development work in the US or in abroad. Faculty interested in learning about this opportunity to inform students.
