Rome—Art and the City


Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to the program site. Instructions for making flight arrangements will be sent to students via email after the program reaches minimum enrollment or within a week after the enrollment deadline. Instructions on how to get to the program accommodations will be available to enrolled students in their Program Specific Guide (PSG). The PSG will available by June through enrolled students’ Seminars Abroad Account and sent via email to the program listserv.

Notes on Travel to Your Destination

Although UC Davis Summer Abroad programs are not affiliated with a host university, you will enter as a student visitor 

*A passport is required.  For U.S. citizens, a visa is not required for tourist or student stays of up to six months in Italy

Non-U.S. citizens participating in a Seminar Abroad program are responsible for obtaining their own visa. Seminar Abroad will supply a verification of enrollment letter for non-U.S. citizens upon request. Visit the website of the Italian Embassy in the U.S. for the most current Italy visa information.

The nearest international airport to Rome is Flumicino International Airport (code: FCO), also known as Leonardo da Vinci. Airport website
