Peer Advisors (Paid Positions)

Peer Advisors primarily serve as the first point of contact for students interested in studying abroad. As a Peer Advisor, you will help generate interest and enthusiasm among undergrads, facilitate their selection of a program, and help prepare them for their study abroad experience. This is an opportunity to further develop your leadership, office, digital communications, marketing, and advising skills in a supportive and professional environment. A minimum of 12 and maximum of 19 hours are expected per week.

Administrative Assistants (Paid Positions)

Administrative Assistants will assist in preparing students for their study abroad experience by providing support to study abroad applicants and staff. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a vital part of all aspects of the student enrollment and pre-departure process. This is an opportunity to further develop your communication, customer service, office, and organizational skills with a team in a supportive and professional team environment. A minimum of 12 and maximum of 19 hours are expected per week—including occasional evenings and weekends.

Writing Internship (UWP - Academic Credit)

UC Davis Study Abroad Writing Interns will earn 1 unit of UWP credit and hone their writing skills while learning about the exciting professional fields of Study Abroad and International Education. With guidance from the Communications & Marketing Manager at UC Davis Study Abroad, Blake Cooper, interns will be responsible for the creation of 6 feature articles (1500+ words each) that focus on specific study abroad programs or student experiences. In addition to multiple in-office meetings throughout the quarter, the internship will be primarily run through the online collaboration and publishing platforms, Trello and Medium. Writing Interns will be provided a student profile page on the Study Abroad Website (examples) and will learn innovative techniques in online journalism and storytelling.
