My name is Isabella Dalton and I am a 3rd year Political Science and Communication double major. At my high school, there was a program to go to Bahía de Las Animas, México to study and survey the marine habitat in México for research. Though my love is Political Science, I was excited to learn about marine life and help preserve it. For me, this opportunity was not only enriching my life, but I was excited about collecting data that could be used to help gain protection of marine organisms and help protect our oceans.
When looking back at my time in Baja, I can happily say it was the best moment of my senior year of high school. I promised myself that I would try new things, and after that trip, I can wholeheartedly say I also have a place in my heart for marine biology. I am excited for future opportunities to study abroad, to find new interests, and learn about new cultures!
I am extremely excited to be part of the UC Davis Study Abroad team and to help students pursue their passions studying abroad.
